K-Pop Group STAYC Accidentally Wears Glasgow Rangers Shirts Instead of Texas Rangers Shirts
South Korean K-pop girl group STAYC accidentally wore Glasgow Rangers football shirts instead of Texas Rangers baseball shirts during a performance in Dallas, Texas, as part of their US tour.
The group had intended to wear the shirts of the local sports team to show their support for the city, but there was a mix-up in the wardrobe department. Two members of the group, Sumin and Sieun, were photographed wearing the Rangers shirts, which are blue with white and red trim.
The mistake was met with good humor by fans of both teams. "Rangers are the kings of K-pop," one Rangers fan wrote on social media. "As a Scottish person who supports [Rangers] this was not in my 2023 bingo card," another wrote.
STAYC is a six-member girl group that debuted in 2020. They have quickly become one of the most popular K-pop groups in the world, with hits like "So Bad," "Stereotype," and "Asap."
The group is currently on their first US tour, which will wrap up in Los Angeles on November 4th.
